A Warrior’s full aspects are equivalent to a life’s total way, referred to as “do” by samurai. According to Moore, the Warrior Dharma, also known as Ma’at or Tao is a spiritual journey through the path of life.
The Characteristics of Warrior Dharma
Aggressive
There are two dictionary meanings to the word, “aggressive.”
- Expending all effort to achieve success
- Very energetic more so, in using force or initiative
It is essential that true aggression is viewed from these two perspectives. Aggression can be either be used positively or negatively. People who fail to harness their aggression are in constant conflicts with others even for the flimsiest reasons, experience strained relationships, and lag in personal development. On the other hand, people who subdue their aggression can be trolled by anyone in their pursuit of set goals, which brings them dissatisfaction. Aggression should be in moderation. When one has fully integrated the Warrior archetype with his aggression, he achieves consistency in pursuing their set goals or purpose.

A Deeper Look Into The Warrior Archetype
Mindful
The Warrior archetype is mindful in two ways. Firstly, he is ever alert, observing, and planning and can never be lured to sleep by complacency. Secondly, he is cognizant to the fact that life has an end, death is inevitable, and he can think about death at will since he is not afraid to die. The finite nature of life makes his mind to be clear and thus, endeavors to make every day count.
Adaptable
The Warrior will stop at nothing while pursuing his objectives including the use of tact, dynamism, and strategic intelligence to create a competitive advantage. He is analytical of his opponent and takes advantage of his weaknesses.
Minimalist
The Warrior archetype can shed off unnecessary baggage to enable it to launch stealth and nimble attacks on an enemy.
Decisive
The Warrior archetype can make bold decisions to enable one to go through life’s challenges while maintaining their composure and calm. He is not hesitant to act on his decisions since regret is not part of his living. His decisive nature has been developed over time through training in anticipation of conditions that will warrant such decisions. His body and mind can tell the right thing to do in every situation.
Skillful
The Warrior archetype is partly bold in his decisions due to his superior competence. Moore asserts that the accuracy, skill, and power are the major components of a Warrior archetype’s energy. He is skilled to deal with any technology required in his field to enable him to achieve his objective. He decisively nurtures his skill set in a similar way to that which he implements his decisions.
Loyal
The Warrior archetype is a mature Hero archetype. During the maturity process, Hero archetype shifts its loyalty to men. According to Moore, a Hero archetype is primarily concerned with being loyal to his happiness and that of others. The Warrior archetype is not self-centered and focuses on a cause that is bigger to an individual, or a task. His life is organized in the center of that purpose rendering him selfless, void of pettiness, and gives his life a deeper meaning.
Disciplined
The Warrior archetype has mastery over his mind and body. He has self-control and knows when and how much to be aggressive. He exercises control over his reaction to situations by deciding his attitude towards the same. He does not take unnecessary risks since he is disciplined. Also, his mind is free from fear and pain, and he has clear-cut distinctions between good and bad pain. He can endure physical and psychological distress in pursuit of his set goals. He cherishes difficult situations as making him stronger.
Emotionally Detached
The Warrior archetype can at times be emotionally detached from his feeling of doubt and fear emanating from intimidation and pressure from family and friends to enable him to achieve his mission. His mind requires room to have clarity. His greatest challenge is to switch off his emotional attachment since his inability can have dire consequences on his efficiency.
Creative Destroyer
The Warrior archetype is destructive, though, destruction in his fullness is intended to create room for a better thing. We invoke a Warrior’s creative destruction to help us become better people and shun negativity.
Accessing the Warrior
People who have uninterrupted access to their inner Warrior experience decisiveness, energy, and courage. Such people are not afraid to offer positive criticism to their loved ones for their good or the good of others. Accessing the Warrior makes people be able to set rules and ensure that they are followed.
