Mental Strength Tip # 145: Gratitude and Desire

Welcome back to another Mental Strength Tip!

Personal development is essential to live a life of power, purpose and passion….with perseverance.  Personal development is about know how to full use all of your four personal resources; physical, emotional, spiritual and mental.

The mental aspect of personal development requires mental strength and mindset of empowering beliefs that will instill the feeling of self-empowerment.

Reaching your personal goals, achieving personal success and exceeding your human potential starts in your mind…and finishes with taking inspired and massive action.

This is one in a series of virtual personal coaching and mental strength tips to help kick-start your week.  It is intended to create self-empowerment and inspire you to take action so that you can reach your personal goals and personal success.

I take one mental strength tips and run though a brief overview of it, then ask some very direct coaching questions.  The intention of this virtual personal coaching session is for you to write and answer these questions in your success journal and then reflect on them to gain insight on yourself, your dreams and what’s holding you back.

Let’s Get Started:

Gratitude does not need explanation, you know how to be grateful. But did you know that gratitude brings you more of what you appreciate?

Gratitude speeds along the manifestation of your desires.

Gratitude attracts what we desire.

The universal law of attraction says that we will attract into our life the things we think about and focus on. When you are consciously aware of your blessings, and are grateful for them, you are focusing more clearly on what you do want in your life and are attracting more of those things into your life.

Gratitude is a very powerful emotional energy that you must project in the course of manifesting your desires.

Questions to Uncover Beliefs about Mental Strength Thinking:

  • Is it possible to be happily dissatisfied?
  • How would you describe your won level of gratitude and happiness?
  • How do you believe the average person would describe their level of gratitude and happiness?

Unsupportive Beliefs about Gratitude and Desire

  • You can’t be grateful and desire more at the same time.
  • Just be grateful with what you have and don’t expect more.
  • It’s greedy to want more when so many have so little.

Mental Strength Beliefs about Gratitude and Desire

  • A healthy “dissatisfaction” is the foundation of progress and success.
  • Being grateful with where you are allows you to enjoy the present, while desiring more drive you to take action for the future.
  • Having a gratitude mindset attracts people and circumstances that will assist you in accomplishing your future desires.

Outrageous Questions:

  • Are you satisfied because you really satisfied, or are you satisfied because you don’t know how to move to the next level in your life?
  • Do you see desiring more a being negative or positive?
  • Why do so many educated individuals advise people not to expect too much?

Reflective Questions:

  • If you were to desire more would you be more driven in your life?
  • Has dissatisfaction ever driven someone to great accomplishments?
  • Why do you think it’s important to grateful for what you have and desiring more?

Mental Strength Coaching:

When you find things that you appreciate and you use them as your point of focus, your world has to get better in every area of your life. Every time you flood your mind with appreciation or gratitude you attract more of what you desire. Look around you right now.

What can you be grateful for?

Get into the authentic feeling of true gratitude. Find something, anything, to be grateful for right now. When you are grateful, you’re in a high energy vibration that will attract more things to be grateful for and more good things will come to you magically, drawn in by your feelings of gratitude. The emotion of joy attracts conditions of joy.

Final Thought

Gratitude sends out the message that you already have what you desire. You must always at all times think in terms of already having the object of your desire in your physical reality.

Along with those thoughts should be the feeling of the most intense gratitude for what you have already received from the universe. Gratitude makes the object of your desires a real, tangible aspect of your own reality, and the more real it is to you the sooner it will manifest into your personal experiential reality.
