Mental Strength, it is in Your Mind
“More than those who hate you, more than all your enemies, an undisciplined mind does greater harm.” ~ Buddha from The Dhammapada
How true is that?!?
How’s your internal dialogue? Are you even aware of just how much you criticize yourself? It’s pretty crazy when we really start to notice what’s going on up there in our minds!!
Of course, (as you know if you’ve spent any time trying, :)) training our minds is an incredible challenge.
Gandhi once remarked that this training requires the patience of someone trying to empty the sea with a teacup…
I say it’s time to get to work. I raise my teacup in a toast to our training. 🙂
One of my top two practices for developing mental strength is shamanic journey work and meditation.
Are you doing journey work?
Are you meditating?
My life took a quantum leap for the better when I started doing both journey work and meditating. I start every morning with one or the other – after I workout :-).
There are various programs that assist you to get into “state” and I recommend a few in my newsletter. The key is to start a mental strength practice, one that you enjoy, continue to perform and receive benefits from.
