Some things to consider about distractions:
- Urgent vs. important
- What do I want? – Will this task help me get closer to that goal?
- FOCUS – Follow One Course Until Successful
- Busy vs. productive
- W.I.N is used often (What’s Important Now)
- Is the goal worthwhile (prioritize) – passion
- Delayed gratification
- What’s a single goal that would have the biggest impact on your life?
- Do it until it’s completed, this will free up time for personal care.
Remember, many of us have been raised in the age of computers, microwaves and videogames. The younger you are the more likely you’ve been “conditioned” for a shorter attention span. This typical mindset is of instant gratification, and if a person doesn’t get it, they’ll turn their focus elsewhere. This is a formula for failure! It’s my job as your coach to help you break this habit and create the mental strength of a warrior so that you can achieve your peak personal performance and personal success.
