Personal Growth

Here are the key principles for personal growth and development.

  1. When things are not working out despite all your efforts, look for the discrepancies and contradictions in your life, there you find both the problem and the solution.
  1. Consistency and regular practice of positive actives is what gathers momentum which is the key to growth and improvement. Remember that momentum is the engine of success.
  1. Complacency and arrogance are the two main enemies of growth, beware of their subtle and deceitful nature, they are both capable of luring you into a false sense of security.
  1. Make good use of time, those who value and respect time soon discover that time works with them not against them.
  1. Knowledge becomes a burden when it is not applied and used to improve your life.
  1. In order that you can experience the amazing clarity and insight of a finely-honed intuition, you must practice the art of being still and listening. Being is the ultimate form of doing.
  1. Having planted the seeds of positive activity, impatiently waiting for your rewards delays their arrival. Simply focus on being positive and the fruits of your efforts will come in their own time.
  1. Learning and practicing the language of gratitude and appreciation makes what you need in your life more readily available to you.
  1. Life is a self-fulfilling prophesy, anticipate the worst and it won’t be very far away, dare to expect the best and in time it will be yours.
  1. If you keep find yourself undergoing the same experience in life there is still some lesson you have not learned; stop, look and listen, and you will eventually see what it is.
  1. When you say, ‘I don’t know’, it prevents you from knowing. Truth lives inside all of us, so do not deny yourself the chance to know. The answers will surface if you invite them.
  1. Slow down, develop the art of thinking before speaking and you will make better choices about what you say, when you say it and where you say it.
  1. To deny your mistakes is to lose your greatest resource for deeper understanding, greater clarity and insight. Your mistakes are often your best tutors.
  1. Personal empowerment begins from the moment you change ‘I can’t” into “I can.” So, banish “I can’t’ from your vocabulary and replace it with ‘I can.’
  1. Every thought, word and action is an affirmation of one kind or another. So, ensure to the best of your ability that your thoughts, words and action positively affirm you.
  1. Beware of your self-sabotaging habits, you are often the only obstacle standing in your way.

You will have acquired immense benefit from this time reading this article. But to maximize what you have gained so far, it’s best to write down what your experiences offered you.
