Mental Strength Tip #79 – Leadership And Personal Success

Welcome back to another Mental Strength Tip!

Achieving personal success and reaching your personal goals begins with a mental strength mindset of empowering beliefs.

Reaching your personal goals and personal success starts in your mind…and finishes with taking inspired and massive action.

This is one in a series of virtual success coaching and mental strength tips to help kick-start your week.  It is intended to enthuse and inspire you to take action so that you can reach your personal goals and personal success.

I take one mental strength tips and run though a brief overview of it, then ask some very direct success coaching questions.  The intention of this virtual success coaching session is for you to write and answer these questions in your success journal and then reflect on them to gain insight on yourself, your dreams and what’s holding you back.

To help you comprehend and clarify that the primary role of a leader is someone how is there to bring change.

Let’s Get Started:

A real leader knows that they are in that role not to bark orders, but to create change.  When you look at ever President, they’re primary role is to change the United Sates.  Take a look a Steve Job, he literally changed the personal computer, personal entrainment world and how we communicate with each other.

True Leadership is more of a phenomenon that occurs when people believe in someone and their vision, and not because it’s a designated position.

Questions to Uncover Beliefs about Mental Strength Thinking:

  • What does it mean to be a leader?
  • What are the core competencies of a leader?
  • What are the three key thins every great leader does?

Unsupportive Beliefs about Change and Leadership

  • Leaders are oppressors.
  • Leaders are to be feared.
  • Leaders are dictators.

Mental Strength Beliefs about Change and Leadership

  • Leaders are agents of change.
  • Leaders are to be respected, not feared.
  • Leaders run the world.

Outrageous Questions:

  • Are you a competent leader?
  • Are your Leadership skills helping or hurting you?
  • On a scale of 1-9, 9 being best, how would your colleagues, friends, family and clients rate you as a leader?

Reflective Questions:                                                                                  

  • What would you have to improve to become a better leader?
  • Who are three leaders you admire and why?
  • What beliefs would you have to change or adopt to become a leader people (or more) want to follow?

Mental Strength Coaching:

People tend to follow leaders who get results, even if they’re unpopular. Leadership is more about creating change then about being popular.

Popularity isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but people want change and will follow the person that can create it.
