Mental Strength Habits Of A Purpose Focused Man – Part 14

Welcome back the continuation of this series entitled “Mental Strength Habits Of A Purpose Focused Man”

We’ve been breaking down 21 habits of a purposed focused man one. A man with a purpose driven life exhibits specific qualities in 5 segments of his life, these segments are:

  • Mental
  • Physical
  • Emotional
  • Financial
  • Spiritual

There is no “mid-life crisis” for men…generally speaking.

This “mid-life crisis” for men is, is just a lack of focus and purpose.  When men lose their purpose, they also lose our focus.  When they lose their focus they feel lost.  And many men attempt to find themselves in unproductive behaviors.

My main point of these posts and my private intensive, The 2nd Passage, is to help men realize that they do have a mission and purpose in life.  And once they find it they can live a life of power, purpose, passion and perseverance!

My hope is that through these series of posts and The 2nd Passage Intensive, I will help men who, admittedly or not, are experiencing a mid-life emptiness and guide them back to manhood and step into their masculinity…without becoming a jerk.

We’ve already covered the mental qualities and well into the emotional habits of a highly focused purpose driven man.  We’ll continue with physical habit:

Nutritional:

Purpose Focused Man

  • They eat to live, not live to eat
  • Eat vegetables, greens lean protein with every meal
  • They have between 5 – 6 feedings per so that their blood sugar level is maintained
  • Stay away from salt, sugar, additives and excess alcohol (if any at all)
  • Healthy skin and sparkling eyes
  • Health, lean body image and their body reflects it

The nutritional lifestyle of a man with a purpose driven life is that of optimization.  A man with a purpose focused life understands the importance of good nutrition and the connection it has with his body, health and mental capacity.

He treats his nutrition as if it’s the most important thing he can put into his body.  He is consciousness about all his nutritional decisions.

Because of these healthy nutritional decisions he has more energy, his appearance looks healthier and there is a glow about him.

A purpose focused man knows that the longer he is alive and on this plant more he can do his work and by eating correctly he’ll be able to accomplish more in his purpose driven life.

No Life Purpose, Unfocused Man

  • Eat anything that tickles their fancy
  • Tend to be addict to salts, sugars and high caloric foods
  • Don’t know when to stop eating
  • Their bodies, skin and eyes reflect carelessness in nutritional selection
  • Has a poor body image and it reflects it
  • Acid reflux
  • Heart burn

A man without a purpose driven life eats whatever he wants no matter the consequence.  Because of this he is obese if not, then severally overweight or has health related symptoms like heart burn, poor skin quality and other dis-eases.

A man who does not have a purpose driven life gets some of his satisfaction from food instead of his accomplishments in life and may even use his minor victories as an excuse to excessively indulge in alcohol and unhealthy food.

Self Assessment

OK…looking at the above mental strength emotional characteristic for a man with a purpose driven life, take the below survey and see how well you’re doing… and please have the courage to be honest with yourself.

Nutritional: The habit of “eating to live” and not “living to eat.” The pervading philosophy of “moderation in all things.” The habit of enjoying vitamin-enriched vegetables and fruits, lean meats, poultry and fish more than salt and sugar-rich, high caloric foods.
