More on Warrior vs. Victim
Warrior | Victim |
Takes responsibility for results | Blames, complains or justifies |
Responds differently according to the circumstances | Rigged, unbending “I’ve always done it this way” |
Knows that people work perfectly from where they are with what they know | Tires to make themselves look better by making others look small |
Knows the response they get is a reflection of their message and will change the message to ensure the right response | Places blame for miscommunication on the other person, “Why don’t they understand!?” |
Creates reason why they should do something | Creates excuses why they can’t do something |
Takes decisive action, “If it’s meant to be, it’s up to me.” | Waits for others to tell them what to do |
Asks, “How can I…?” questions | Asks, “Why can’t I …?” questions |
Knows they have all the resources they need (inside themselves) | Feels stuck and doesn’t have any resources except what others tell them |
Is a master at working with both the unconsciousness and conscious mind | Can’t control their thoughts, emotions, or actions. “I just can’t help myself” |
This table is far from all inclusive, but as you read them, be honest with yourself and think about how many times a day are you on each side.
The goal here is to be aware of where you are and then decide is where you are is where you want to be.
