Self-Improvement – Are You Working On All Parts of Yourself?

Many people, when they practice self-improvement, only target one part of themselves such as physical, mental, emotional or spiritual aspects of self-improvementtheir beings. We are holistic beings though and this means that we need to focus on our whole being not just one part of our being to be fulfilled in life.

In order to become fully engaged in self-improvement, we need to work on all four aspects of our being, which are listed below:

Four Parts To Self-Improvement

1. Physical

There are several areas to focus on, when working on our physical bodies. These include exercise, nutrition, and hydration. All these things go into making us physically strong and healthy. Check out some details about each thing below:

  • Exercise – We need to combine strength training, cardiovascular, and flexibility workouts to ensure we have muscle strength, heart health, and can easily move.
  • Nutrition – We need to eat the right portions or whole-organic foods, fresh-juiced fruits and vegetables to help with our health and fitness goals. This eliminates many toxins and unhealthy ingredients from our diets.
  • Hydration – Plenty of water on a daily basis is important, but other beverages such as green tea or Dragon Longevity Tea Caffeine are also helpful to drink.

2. Mental

Our mental functioning is another part of ourselves that we need to include in any self-improvement effort. We need to work on the following mental aspects of ourselves:

  • Mindfulness is all about being aware of what we are thinking. Thoughts can lift us up or drag us down.
  • Mental strength allows us to push through any mental resistance that is getting in our way of achieving goals.
  • Self-talk can either empower or not empower us.

3. Emotional

Our emotions can cause us many ups-and-downs throughout our lives. They can prevent us from moving in the right direction or drive us to success it is all up to use to learn how to control them. Below are the emotional areas on which we need to concentrate:

  • Emotional intelligence is all about knowing what triggers our emotions and how to resolve any issues quickly.
  • Controlling is about using our emotions to move us forward in our lives.
  • Passion is having a strong feeling about something. What are you passionate about? All of us should feel passionate over something in our lives.

4. Spiritual

Our spiritual part of ourselves is what nurtures and heals us. It can also quiet us at needed times to meditate or pray. Check out further information below:

  • Healing is about forgiving and healing from past wounds.
  • Meditation is a quiet time to decompress or pray.
  • Nature is nurturing, so we need to spend time outdoors.

We only truly become whole, when we have integrated our four essential parts. This is why when working on self-improvement that we must work on all the parts mentioned above simultaneously. It does not always happen quickly, but over time, you can perfect each area of your being to become truly whole.
