Quantum Consciousness And Human Potential – Part 2
Last week we started a list about human potential and quantum consciousness.
I mentioned that one of the biggest aspects we need to consider is what limits we consciously or unconsciously put on ourselves. That we need to think greater than our current state of being and think outside our limited view to see the potential we have. Once we “see” our human potential we can then set about exceeding it.
This requires us to be aware, especially to be aware of our limiting beliefs and thinking.
You see, we have been programmed to look at our human potential as being finite.
Well it’s time to change that!
We’re now going to upgrade your awareness, and look at the new consciousness from a quantum physics perspective. Not being a quantum scientist, I will make this as simple and as basic as possible. Here are the next two basic building blocks of Quantum Physics that you should know about:
6. There Are Infinite Possibilities
“The notion of treating people like possibilities, rather than fixed structures is a healthy one, I think.” – Nick Herbert, Physicist
Photons are the smallest units of energy we know of, on the electromagnetic level. By observing photons, scientists have discovered how the most basic element in the physical universe behaves. This has given us staggering information about the nature of life itself.
What scientists have discovered is this: When photons aren’t being observed, they behave as waves of infinite possibility. They can simultaneously be in many places at the same time. But, the moment that you observe a photon, it collapses into one particle of experience. The simple act of observing a photon sets it’s course.
A particle, which we think of as a solid thing, really exists in a super-position – a spread out wave of possible locations. It’s in an infinite number of positions at the same time.
The instant you observe it, it snaps into just one of those possible positions.
I call this collapsing point the “point of conception.” Every thought, emotion or belief system has a starting point. The point of conception is that moment when a wave of infinite possibilities collapses into a single actuality. At that moment, you are creating a new thought form and with it, a new Reality. This is the real meaning behind the phrase, “State of Collapse”.
According to quantum physics, an object is a “possibility wave”. Objects are in a state of possibility until they are observed. This means that anything is possible. Your thoughts and observations create actualities. Your consciousness collapses a possibility into an actuality.
What this means is, you are making up your existence.
Why is this significant? Photons are the most basic building blocks in the physical universe. If the simple act of observing a photon creates an actuality, this means that our thoughts and observations are creating actualities every day, in ways that we can scarcely imagine.
Does anyone believe for one second that, with all of our technological advancements, there isn’t a solution to the oil crisis? If all matter is energy and all energy is thought, we have an endless supply of energy that we can harness. Google the name “Tesla” for more information.
If we can spend half a trillion dollars on an “endless war” with Iraq, why can’t we spend half a trillion dollars finding alternative energy sources? Are there infinite possibilities for the future?
Of course there are. We begin to create those actualities, by giving our attention to them.
“Quantum science suggests the existence of many possible futures for each moment of our lives. Each future lies in a state of rest until it is awakened by choices made in the present.” – Gregg Braden
7. When You Observe Something, You Change It
When photons aren’t being observed, they are waves of infinite possibility. But, the moment that you observe a photon, it collapses into one particle of experience. The simple act of observing a photon sets its course.
At the smallest, quantum level of existence, you change matter, simply by observing it. The scientist, simply by observing the laboratory rat, influences its behavior. Study after study has revealed that matter behaves differently when it is being observed, even if it is being observed by a highly trained, “clinical and rational” scientist.
This leads us to another mind-boggling truth: There’s no such thing as “empirical” evidence.
There’s no fixed reality, because reality is changed the moment it is observed. Reality is a moving target.
If we had 100 people look at a photon or an electron under a microscope, each of them would see something different. Why? Each person would be collapsing a wave of infinite possibility into a different actuality.
Every attempt to describe the Universe, using mathematical equations has ultimately proved inconsistent with reality. Our past model of Reality was based in the solid and empirical physics of Isaac Newton.
But, quantum physics has challenged many of Newton’s mathematical “laws”. 100 years from now, somebody may challenge everything that quantum physicists are saying today.
Why?
It’s all made up. Our thoughts, emotions and beliefs have that much impact on our Reality. You could say that there isn’t empirical evidence for anything in this paper. You would be right, too. In the fifth dimension, there’s no such thing as empirical evidence, because of the observer effect.
The observer changes everything he or she observes.
What is empirically true?
The word “fact” comes from the Latin word factum, which means something that’s “made up”. A fact is something that’s made up. This is hard for the thinking brain to comprehend. But what this means is, you are creating reality, every living, breathing moment that you are alive.
“The approach and attitude… of the observer determines what kinds of facts are discovered.” – Edward Whitmont
Next week I’ll finish up with this. In the meantime I go over this subject in more detail in Develop The Mental Strength of a Warrior.
